Philemon 1:6, 7 says, “I pray that the fellowship of your faith may become effective through the knowledge of every good thing which is in you for Christ’s sake. For I have come to have much joy and comfort in your love, because the hearts of the saints have been refreshed through you.”
Our goal is to refresh the hearts of the women at Shady Grove by offering opportunities for enjoyment, encouragement and equipping. The end result of these opportunities is that the, “fellowship of their faith may become effective through the knowledge of every good thing which is in them for Christ’s sake”. This goal is not new, but rather a new way of expressing the mission statement of the women’s ministry in a concept that is fresh and memorable. You see, E3, as we have been affectionately calling this picture of “enjoyment, encouragement and equipping”, incorporates every part of the ministry’s purpose:
The purpose of Shady Grove’s women’s ministry is to provide many opportunities for women to form friendships(enjoy activities) within our community of believers in order to develop: accountability (encourage activities), support(enjoy/encourage activities), spiritual growth (encourage and equipping activities), outreach and service (equipping activities).
E3 – our purpose of providing moments for the women of Shady Grove to be refreshed, so that their faith may become effective through the knowledge of all that is good in them for the sake of Christ.
